Sari and blouses, re-jigged <img alt="" src="http://images.mid-day.com/2012/aug/04H124118.jpg" style="width: 500px; height: 979px; " /> The sari was the favourite silhouette for designers like Wendell Rodricks and Swapnil Shinde. Also, many designers added quirk by printing saris with everything from headphones to aeroplanes. The blouses were surprisingly demure with some detailing like a slit back or strong shoulders. Pleats <img alt="" src="http://images.mid-day.com/2012/aug/Anitadongre.jpg" style="width: 500px; height: 626px; " /> The technique of pleating was used in both Indian and international outfits by designers such as Anita Dongre, Neeta Lulla and Nimish Shah. Platform and wedge heels <img alt="" src="http://images.mid-day.com/2012/aug/Foots.jpg" style="width: 500px; height: 388px; " /> A rage internationally too, platforms and wedges of varying heights was the choice of Yogesh Chaudhary, Pankaj and Nidhi and Tanya Sharma. Footwear designer Rohan Sharma gave a twist to the platforms by structuring them. Retro made a comeback this season with everything from fully covered grandma blouses to strong shoulders.
