Twinkle Khanna and Kajol are currently hosting the celebrity chat show Two Much. The second episode of the show featured the reunion of actors Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan. On the show, Khanna recalled a hilarious moment when she was mistaken for Rishi Kapoor's illegitimate daughter. She revealed that the misunderstanding stemmed from a birthday tweet the late actor once made for her.

Sharing the memory on the show, Twinkle said, “I almost became a Kapoor because of Alia’s father-in-law. On my birthday, he tweeted very generously, ‘Oh you know… when you were in your mother’s stomach, I serenaded her.’ So everybody thought that I was his illegitimate daughter. Then he got trolled and had to clarify, saying, ‘No, I am so sorry.’”
Alia Bhatt, who is also Rishi Kapoor's daughter-in-law, had an awkward reaction listening to the story, while Kajol laughed at the anecdote. Noticing Alia’s discomfort, Twinkle quickly added, "I am not your sister-in-law, it was a mistake." Varun Dhawan, who also appeared in the episode, teased Alia saying, “She doesn’t know how to react.”
About Rishi Kapoor's tweet
The late actor was known for being active on social media and speaking his mind. On Twinkle’s birthday, Rishi tweeted a message referencing his iconic film Bobby, where he was paired opposite Twinkle's mother, Dimple Kapadia. "Happy Happy Birthday dear one! You were in your mum’s tummy when I was serenading her in Bobby in 1973 lol," the tweet read.
The tweet sparked rumours so strongly that Rishi had to issue a clarification. He later wrote, "Kuch logon ko problem kya hai? Kakaji and Dimple were married, Bobby was still incomplete, we shot that song when Dimple was 3 months pregnant. Kakaji-Dimple married in March ’73. Bobby released Sept 28th ’73. Twinkle born 29th Dec ’73."
Twinkle and Kajol give parenting tips to Alia
The Gangubai Kathiawadi actress received parenting tips from the hosts of the show as they discussed childhood and parenting. Twinkle Khanna told Alia that she should never try to give a perfect childhood to her daughter but only lots of love. Twinkle said that no matter how much of a perfect childhood a parent tries to give to their children, the latter will one day go to therapy and blame their parents for all their troubles.
Kajol told Alia that the best thing to do is to listen to a child no matter what their age is. Alia and Ranbir Kapoor welcomed their daughter Raha Kapoor on November 6, 2022 in Mumbai.
