Joining the list of fresh pairing in 2024, Vaani Kapoor will be seen as the lead opposite Ajay Devgn in 'Raid 2 movie'. The gorgeous young actress is known for her solid performances in films like 'Shudh Desi Romance' and 'Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui' and the 'WAR' girl is again set to sizzle the big screen with her fresh chemistry with Ajay Devgn.
Actor Ravi Teja on Saturday gave the mahurat clap for Ajay Devgn-starrer 'Raid 2'. Taking to Instagram, Ajay dropped a picture from the mahurat shot. In the image, Ajay and Ravi Teja are seen sharing smiles. "New Case, New Beginning! #Raid2 officially kicked off today, and the energy on set was nothing short of electrifying! Shukriya @raviteja_2628, for gracing the mahurat shot," he captioned the post.

Touted to be one of the most awaited sequels, the film went on the floor on 6th January in Mumbai and brought together director Rajkumar Gupta and producers Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak and Krishan Kumar. The film is scheduled to be shot extensively in Mumbai, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.
'Raid' was released in 2018 and also starred Saurabh Shukla and Ileana D'Cruz. It was based on a real-life raid conducted by the officers of the Income Tax Department in the 1980s. Ileana played Ajay's wife in the film.
'Raid 2' is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak and Krishan Kumar. The film is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series and is a Panorama Studios production. The film will be released theatrically on 15th November 2024.
Vaani Kapoor was last seen on the screen in the film 'Shamshera' opposite Ranbir Kapoor. She also has a film titled Khel Khel Main and the web series 'Mandala Murderers' in the pipeline.
Besides this, Ajay will be seen in director Neeraj Pandey's upcoming directorial 'Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha' opposite Tabu. The film promises to be a unique musical love story with an epic romantic drama spanning across 20 years, set between 2002 and 2023 and will be a multi-language release. The actor also has Rohit Shetty's 'Singham Again' in the pipeline.
