Varun Dhawan has finally reacted to the viral AI-generated meme that mocked his smile while dressed in an army uniform. Varun revealed he was initially confused by the image and pointed out that it was entirely fabricated using AI. He recently appeared on comedian and writer Tanmay Bhat’s YouTube channel and revealed how the meme helped him get three ads.

Ahead of the release of his war drama, Border 2, earlier this year, a meme began to float around on the internet, depicting Varun with a crooked smile while wearing an army uniform. Reacting to the meme over a Zoom call during Tanmay Bhat’s roast, Varun said, “True story, jab ye aaya to maine bola maine pehna kab uniform. Border to maine abhi ki hai. Ye uniform Border ki nahi hai, ye baal aise nahi the. Ye jo chehra hai ye ABCD 2 ka hai aur body to meri hai hi nahi. Poora AI hai ye photo (When this came out, I wondered when I had worn this uniform. I did Border right before this. The uniform here is not from Border. The hair is all off. The face is from ABCD 2 and the body is not mine. This is all AI).”
