After launching the teaser of 'Azhar' starring Emraan Hashmi during Extra Innings, the pre-match session of IPL 2015 finale between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings on Sunday, makers of the biopic released the teaser online on Monday.

Emraan Hashmi tweeted the link to the teaser and wrote, "COLLAR UP !!! teaser of AZHAR !!"
In the teaser, the actor guides viewers through Azharuddin's life from being a famed cricketer to being termed a traitor. While in character, Emraan tells viewers the three things that describe him in the best way -- a person who believes in god; his marital status and a black spot in his career due to match-fixing allegations.
In the teaser, 'The Dirty Picture' actor is seen walking out of the pavilion amid a cheering crowd. The visuals segue from a happy fan moment to riots and burning of an effigy.

The biopic is helmed by Tony D'Souza and produced by Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor and Sneha Rajani under their banner Balaji Motion Pictures and MSM Motion Pictures.
It will feature Prachi Desai playing Azhar's first wife, Naureen.
