She has opened up about the worsening situation in Iran amid the ongoing conflict. Speaking candidly during an Instagram interaction, the actress revealed that fear, violence, and internet blackouts continue to grip the country. Mandana also shared an emotional goodbye to India after nearly 16 years.

Recently, Karimi conducted an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on Instagram when a user asked her, “Are things better in Iran now? And where are you headed to?” To this, the actress mentioned, “Unfortunately, no. Things in Iran have become even more aggressive. The IRGC is back on the streets, intimidating people, executions are still happening, and internet blackouts continue. Communication with our families is extremely limited — phone calls barely go through, and when they do, they are incredibly expensive.”
