Yami Gautam, who plays a pivotal role in the film Uri: The Surgical Strike, says the filming process was exhausting yet enjoyable because of the participation and enthusiasm of the film's cast and crew.

Some parts of the film, which is high on action, were shot in Serbia. Yami told IANS, "Shooting of such films is never easy, and is rather consuming. The same thing happened with me when I was shooting for my earlier film 'Kaabil' in which I had to learn dance and understand the body language of a visually challenged girl."
