I walked down the red carpet for the first time in 2010 during an awards function in Sri Lanka. That was the same year I debuted in the film industry.

I was wearing a light pink saree designed by Neeta Lulla. The experience was just surreal. And I say this because I come from a non-filmi background. So, my red carpet moment felt like a dream come true.

Though I was nervous, I was careful not to show it. I received several compliments. The icing on the cake was that I also got to perform on stage at the do.
