Now, fans have a reason to rejoice as director Zoya Akhtar has confirmed that work is underway on the much-awaited sequel as the film also clocks 15 years.

“We are on it,” Akhtar confirmed when asked for an update on the sequel in an interview with Hollywood Reporter. She added, “We don't know what will happen and what won't... if we will get to a place it feels correct, in catching up with these characters today. But it will be nice.”
