Weeks after Zubeen Garg's untimely death, his grieving wife, Garima Saikia Garg, has shared her first post on social media. Dropping a throwback picture with the late singer, she penned an emotional note.

Garima posted a picture of herself and Zubeen, in which she is seen adorably holding his chin. In the caption, she wrote, "The last one for this life... But we will be together again, very soon Goldie!" She also added a few line in Assamese, which roughly translate to "But now, very soon I/we all need to know why you disappeared physically. Why? Now a big question! This question burns my empty chest day and night. I need answers" followed by justiceforZubeenGarg hashtag.

Earlier, a video message of Garima had been released, where she was seen crying inconsolably when she received Zubeen's body at Guwahati airport. Sharing a video from Zubeen's Instagram, she addressed fans in Assamese and urged them to maintain peace during her husband's final journey with folded hands.
Garima alleges Zubeen died due to negligence
Garima earlier told NDTV, "Whoever was at the place of the incident is under suspicion. We have filed an FIR [first information report]. The organisers, managers, people in the team—we suspect everyone." She added, "We have full belief in our legal system. I think the investigation will proceed properly. We have requested a fast-track investigation. We have to know what exactly happened that day."
Early reports suggested that Zubeen Garg died during a scuba diving accident. However, later, the Assam Chief Minister shared that Zubeen was swimming without a life jacket and fell unconscious. The Singapore High Commission noted drowning as the cause of death on his death certificate. However, his death has been making headlines after a co-band member claimed he was poisoned.
Weeks after the incident, the singer's manager, Siddhartha Sharma, and the North East India Festival (NEIF) chief organiser, Shyamkanu Mahanta, were charged for culpable homicide not amounting to murder, criminal conspiracy, and causing death by negligence. Mahanta was arrested on his arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi from Singapore, while Sharma was arrested from an apartment in Gurugram.
