"I remember watching it as a kid, with Jay Silverheels and Clayton Moore, and going, 'Why is the Lone Ranger telling Tonto what to do?'. u00a0 I started thinking about Tonto and what could be done in my own small way try tou00a0'eliminate' isn't possible but reinvent the relationship, to attempt to take some of the ugliness thrown on the Native Americans," Depp said. u00a0 After much speculation Armie Hammer, who previously appeared as the Winklevoss twins in The Social Network, has been cast as the Lone Ranger.
