The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, attended a Balenciaga show at the annual event at the Paris Fashion Week on Saturday, October 4, 2025. The 44-year-old former actress, who has earlier made appearances at several fashion events, made her first-ever appearance at the coveted PFW.

A spokesperson for Meghan told PEOPLE that she attended the Balenciaga show in support of Pierpaolo Piccioli, who recently stepped in the role of Creative Director for the House. The spokesperson said, "Over the years, the Duchess has worn a number of designs by Pierpaolo. They have worked closely together, collaborating on design for key moments on the world stage."

Although Meghan has regularly appeared on multiple red carpets since stepping back from royal life with Prince Harry, 40, in 2020, she was yet to make a fashion week appearance until now.

She was seen wearing a white oversized cape over a matching button-down shirt. Meghan paired the light attire with black pointed-toe heels, while keeping her hair in a slicked-back bun. Notably, this marked Meghan’s debut at Paris Fashion Week after being a familiar face at New York and Toronto Fashion Weeks during her Suits years. She attended multiple shows between 2013 and 2015.
The spokesperson added, "She has long admired his craftsmanship and modern elegance, and tonight was no different. This evening reflects the culmination of many years of artistry and friendship, reflected in her support for his new creative chapter at Balenciaga."
Notably, Meghan's style has also evolved in recent years as she embraced motherhood after welcoming Prince Archie, 6 and Princess Lilibet, 4. The actress remains a style icon since her days as a working royal, when she wore a variety of designers, including sustainable, socially-conscious Australian brand Outland Denim. Her style choices still remain hot favourites, selling out accessories and outfits from La Ligne and Cesta Collective.
Recently, during the season one episode of her Netflix series With Love, Meghan she explained her look to guest Mindy Kaling, saying that she likes a balance of high-low in her ensembles.Â
