The pair seems to have taken their relationship to a new level after the pictures of them sharing a passionate kiss on a luxurious yacht in Santa Barbara, California, went viral online. In the sizzling images, Katy stuns in a sleek black swimsuit, while the former Canadian Prime Minister goes shirtless, keeping it casual in denim jeans as they soak up some sun while enjoying an intimate moment
Reacting to the photos, a witness reportedly told The Daily Mail, "She pulled up her boat next to a small public whale-watching boat, then they started making out. I didn't realise who she was with until I saw the tattoo on the guy's arm, and I immediately realised it was Justin Trudeau."
Notably, the sightings follow earlier reports about the duo drifting apart. Sources claimed that Trudeau allegedly felt "uncomfortable" with the overwhelming media attention after their private dinner date in Montreal. The intensity of public scrutiny was believed to have created a distance between them. However, the recent yacht spotting appears to slam those rumours, implying that things are all rosy between them.

Reports back then suggested that their romance had fizzled due to their busy schedules as well as media scrutiny, which made Trudeau "uncomfortable".
Notably, both Perry and Trudeau have lately ended their long-term partnerships. The Grammy-award-winning singer separated from actor Orlando Bloom, with whom she has a five-year-old daughter, in June 2025. On the other hand, Trudeau parted ways with his wife, Sophie Grégoire, in 2023 after 18 years of marriage. They have three children, Xavier, Ella-Grace, and Hadrien.
