K-pop supergroup BLACKPINK has sent waves of excitement across social media after releasing the first teaser for their upcoming title track GO, and fans in India, affectionately known as BLINKs, are especially thrilled. The teaser, unveiled on February 23 ahead of the release of the group’s third mini album DEADLINE on February 27, immediately sparked a frenzy online but not just for its futuristic visuals.

BLACKPINK says chalo in Deadline trailer

What caught the eye of Indian fans was a small but powerful detail. The word GO appears written in multiple languages in the teaser, and among them is the Hindi word Chalo, displayed in Devanagari script. In Hindi, 'Chalo' translates to “let’s go,” mirroring the song’s English title and giving the sequence a multilingual, global feel.

This inclusion of Hindi, one of only seven languages featured alongside Korean, English, Spanish, Thai, Japanese and Chinese, sparked immediate celebration among BLINKs online. Fans described it as a proud and emotional moment, seeing it as a possible nod to their devotion and the importance of the Indian fanbase in BLACKPINK’s global reach. The term “Chalo!” began trending among Indian BLINKs on social platforms, with many calling the representation meaningful and exciting.

The teaser itself also offers a stylish and bold glimpse into the concept of GO and the upcoming album DEADLINE. Across dramatic, cosmic tinged visuals, members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa appear in powerful, cinematic frames that blend sporty and space inspired aesthetics. While the multilingual presentation of the song’s title builds anticipation for a global impact, the Hindi inclusion has especially energized Indian fans, many of whom are now speculating that this could hint at future tour stops in India or deeper engagement with the Indian audience.

Is BLACKPINK planning India tour too?

BLACKPINK’s mini album DEADLINE will be released on February 27 and will feature five tracks, including the title song GO, the pre released digital single JUMP, and additional songs such as Me and My, Champion and Fxxxboy. The album marks their first full group release in nearly three and a half years since 2022’s Born Pink.

For Indian BLINKs, the teaser’s Hindi moment has become more than just a language detail. It feels like a symbol of connection between the global phenomenon that BLACKPINK has become and the passionate fandom that has supported them for years.
