HYBE reported an 85.7 percent rise in revenue in North America in the first quarter of 2025, totaling 133.25 billion KRW (about Rs 8400 cr). The rapid rise was partly fueled by BTS member j-hope's successful solo tour, Hope on the Stage, as well as appearances by other HYBE America acts. According to an MTN News story dated July 28, this is one of the company's largest quarterly increases in previous years.

J-hope garners a massive crowd for his solo Tour after his military enlistment

Meritz Securities attributed the majority of the income increase to J-hope's tour and the expanding presence of HYBE's American lineup. The rapper's tour garnered large crowds in the United States and Mexico, demonstrating his personal star power following his military service.

Hope on the Stage premiered in April 2025 and featured 12 events in major locations like Brooklyn, Los Angeles, Oakland, and Mexico City. Approximately 1,78,000 people attended the shows. J-hope played songs from his albums Jack in the Box and Hope on the Street Vol.1, with each event garnering a steady crowd. MTN News cited the consistent ticket sales throughout cities as evidence of BTS's continuous fan loyalty and j-hope's solo popularity.

HYBE also generated revenue from goods and fan spending. Analysts estimate that spectators at US concerts spend an average of USD 60 on products, with approximately 22 percent of attendance making purchases.

All about the tour

The trip concluded on June 14 in Goyang Stadium in South Korea. The first night of the finals coincided with BTS's 12th anniversary, resulting in an unexpected OT7 reunion. All seven BTS members came to support J-hope. Jin and Jungkook even joined him onstage to perform Jamais Vu before sharing their stages, resulting in an emotional scene fans dubbed the "unofficial BTS 2025 Festa."

Despite initial concerns about K-pop's downturn, data for 2025 show a resurgence. Stray Kids, ENHYPEN, ATEEZ, SEVENTEEN, and LE SSERAFIM are among the top ten CD albums in the United States for the first half of 2025, according to Luminate. Stray Kids' HOP sold 149,000 copies in the United States, ranking second overall. Fans have poured out their love for the K-pop idol.
