BTS Jungkook has gained more than 9 million followers on his new Instagram account within just 10 days of being discovered. Besides, the account has also been verified by Meta with just one post

Korean boy band, BTS, is known to make headlines often, thanks to their fans and their obsession with the boys. Recently, BTS member Jungkook made his Instagram return with a new account. ARMYs discovered the new account on the photo sharing app on July 15, and ever since, the account has been increasing its followers count like no other. As per details available on Instagram, the account was, in fact, created in January this year.
Jungkook's Instagram gets verified
It's been roughly 10 days since the account was discovered, and Jungkook’s Instagram profile has already been verified. Currently, the account boasts of 9.1 million followers and has just one post. Meanwhile, he is following just seven accounts, including his bandmates, namely RM, V, Jimin, Jin, J-Hope, Suga and his record label Big Hit.

Following his military discharge in June 2024, the singer made a comeback and interacted with his fans through Instagram. Jungkook’s new Instagram username is ‘mnijungkook’, which he explained stands for ‘my name is jungkook’.
Jungkook's Instagram comeback
Jungkook's account became known to the army after he, along with V (Kim Taehyung) and RM (Kim Namjoon), went live together on July 15, 2025. This marked their first proper livestream in years and also the first since beginning their military service. Later on July 19, Jungkook shared his first post on the new account. The post unveiled the logo of his name from the record-breaking Golden album. He paired the logo with Standing Next to You as the background track. Following his first post, his profile picture and bio were also changed.
His earlier account was created on December 2021 and had built a strong 50 million fanbase till February 2023. However, his profile was later deleted during his hiatus. Prior to his military enlistment, the singer revealed a lack of usage as the reason for his account deletion.However, with the creation of the new account, it looks like he wishes to resume live streams and Ask Me Anything sessions with his fans.
Interestingly, Jungkook is also believed to maintain and operate another account with the username ‘bowwow_bam’, which is co-managed by his brother and has 7.7 million followers.
