It’s finally happening! After a long wait, the BTS group is all set to reunite in just a few weeks as the military discharge dates of all the members are nearing, and this has the ARMY going crazy. BTS leader RM recently posted a 'D-30' countdown on May 11, which looked like a hint at the official date when the K-pop group will reunite.

ARMY reacts to BTS reunion

The post featured a brown bear cartoon holding a sign reading 'D-30'. This post didn’t take much time before it went viral, with the ARMY filling up the comment box with their excitement and emotional responses. While reacting to the post, one wrote, "They made it and we made it and I still can't believe that... I'm super proud of them and of us. We kept the promise and we stayed for the best moments that are yet to come." "30 more days baby," another comment reads. A third fan wrote, "GET MY MAN OUT OF THERE!"

More about BTS member's military services

As of now, BTS members Jin and J-Hope have been discharged, while the rest of the group – RM, V, Jimin, Jungkook, and Suga – are still serving in the Army and are expected to return soon. Jin, the eldest member, began his military service in December 2022 and was discharged on June 12, 2024. J-Hope enlisted in April 2023 and finished in October 2024.

The remaining BTS members are expected to complete their mandatory military service in 2025. RM and V are both scheduled to be discharged on June 10; interestingly, it coincides with the group’s debut anniversary. They are followed by Jimin and Jungkook on June 11. Suga, who enlisted through a different route due to a shoulder injury, is expected to be discharged slightly later, on June 21, 2025.

About J-Hope & Jin's post military discharge work

After returning from his mandatory service, J-Hope is set to bring his solo tour to Macau on May 17–18, Taiwan on May 24–25, and Japan on May 31 and June 1. He is the second member of BTS to return after his military service, following Jin, the eldest member of the group, who returned in June 2024. BTS’ Jin conducted a meet-and-greet with fans, collaborated with luxury brands, and also became the torchbearer at the 2024 Paris Olympics. He appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he discussed his new album Happy and even performed the song Running Wild, which marked his solo debut on the chat show.
