BTS member Jungkook recently shared an honest glimpse into how he’s preparing himself for the group’s long-awaited comeback after nearly four years. Speaking about his current lifestyle, the singer revealed that his focus is firmly on discipline, health and building small but consistent habits.
Jungkook talks about his routine
Jungkook explained that he has been following a strict routine and diet. “These days, I’m on a diet and only eat one meal a day. So I really look forward to that one meal,” he said. Describing how this simple routine motivates him, he added, “I find myself thinking, ‘What should I eat today?’ and waiting with patience. When I finally eat, I feel a sense of achievement.”
The singer also spoke about becoming more mindful of his health. “I’ve been trying to focus more on my health,” Jungkook shared, revealing that he regularly plays badminton and bowling and goes jogging. He admitted that he has consciously cut back on habits that don’t serve him anymore, saying, “I try to avoid things that are bad for my body. I used to drink, but now I’m trying to refrain from it. I want to use my time more meaningfully and cherish it.”
For Jungkook, consistency has become the key. “Doing something consistently, even if it’s small, is more important than making a big effort just once,” he said. He added that maintaining routines like doing cardio both in the morning and at night gives him a strong sense of accomplishment and confidence.
On his solo journey
Looking back on his solo journey, Jungkook reflected on how important the song Seven was for him. “Working on the song ‘Seven’ felt like the most important and special moment for me. That song is what allowed me to continue working up to now,” he said. While he believed in the track, its massive success still surprised him. “I really loved ‘Seven’ and felt confident performing it, but I was still surprised by how well it was received. That reaction gave me even more confidence.”
He also spoke candidly about lessons learned from his solo album GOLDEN. “After releasing my solo album ‘GOLDEN,’ there were things I wished I had done better, both in the songs and the performances,” Jungkook admitted. Rather than holding him back, he said those thoughts push him forward, adding that “those regrets are what motivate me to keep working harder and improving… This is a time where I can evaluate whether I can take another leap forward.”
As BTS gears up for its comeback, Jungkook’s words reflect growth, self-reflection and a renewed determination to return stronger than ever.
