A member of the 'maknae line' Park Jimin joined as a trainee at Big Hit Music when he was 16 years old. Known as 'mochi' by fans he famously called himself 'Cutie, sexy, lovely.' Despite being a trained dancer and a skilled vocalist, Jimin wasn't always the confident performer that he is today. Having started out young, he struggled with fluctuating weight issues that made him conscious.

He admitted to taking up extreme diets even if it wasn't the healthy way to lose weight. In an interview he revealed he followed a one meal diet because he didn’t like his reflection in the mirror. During this period he was practicing the intense choreography to lose weight. He felt weak and dizzy but didn't stop despite other members advising him against it.

Jimin, is still conscious about weight gain, he recently admitted he had gained a little weight so he hasn’t shown his face much and has started dieting again. However, over time the singer has learnt not to resort to extreme measures and give his body time to get back in shape!
