Naga Chaitanya had an unpleasant moment during a promotional event for his upcoming film Vrushakarma. The actor, who headlines the mythological thriller directed by Karthik Dandu, experienced a minor mishap ahead of a press interaction.

Naga Chaitanya falls off chair

At the event, Naga Chaitanya was seen approaching his chair before the press meet began. Moments after sitting down, he suddenly fell to the floor as one of the chair’s legs appeared to give way, causing him to tumble off the stage platform.

People quickly gathered around to help him, but the actor immediately got up on his own without assistance. He was seen smiling and laughing off the incident. The event resumed shortly after organisers ensured he was unharmed.

About the Vrushakarma glimpse

The recently released glimpse video opens with a man possessed by an evil force sketching a portrait of a man whose eye is gouged out. After completing the drawing, he begins wincing in pain, and a bat-like creature emerges from his mouth. The creature then kills a man in the exact manner depicted in the portrait.

A voiceover declares, “When an unparalleled power awakens... when creation deviates from its purpose... destiny will choose its own course,” as the video offers fleeting glimpses of characters played by Jayaram, Meenakshi Chaudhary and Naga Chaitanya.

The makers have revealed that Meenakshi Chaudhary plays a character named Daksha, while Jayaram essays the role of Professor Ranganath.

Earlier, Naga Chaitanya had described the project as a mythological thriller. Speaking about the film, he said it would be heavily VFX-driven and unlike anything he has attempted in his 15-year career.

“This will be a very VFX-heavy film and I am very excited about this project,” he had said, adding, “The film will be in the zone of adventure and treasure hunting.”

The Karthik Dandu directorial is being backed on a massive scale by producers BVSN Prasad and Sukumar under the banners of Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra and Sukumar Writings, respectively.

The story of Vrushakarma has been penned by Sukumar. Cinematography is handled by Neil D Cunha, while music has been composed by Ajaneesh Loknath. Editing is overseen by National Award-winning editor Navin Nooli, and art direction has been done by Sri Nagendra Tangala, who earlier worked on Naga Chaitanya’s film Thandel.
