Actors Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan are respected and known as two legends of Tamil cinema. Interestingly, both the superstars started their film journeys together with K Balachander. Eventually, they grew in their respective careers and were among the top actors in terms of box office records in their 60s. Even today, the two continue to rule Indian cinema. Much to the delight of their fans, a recent picture of the two is going viral on social media. Shared by Kamal Haasan, the pictures show the long-time friends reuniting.

Taking to social media, Kamal Haasan shared a bunch of photos from his meeting with Rajinikanth. He accompanied the pictures with the caption, "I met my friend Rajinikanth to talk about my new political innings." The pictures show Rajinikanth dressed in a white veshti and shirt, while Kamal Haasan was seen sporting a shallot pink T-shirt and deep pink trousers. The picture also included a picture of Kamal Haasan sharing a document attesting to his new role as MP, with Rajinikanth.

Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) founder and actor Kamal Haasan is set to take oath as a member of Rajya Sabha on July 25. He was elected unopposed as a Rajya Sabha member after a DMK-led alliance in June. The MNM released a statement which read, “We are pleased to inform you that Kamal Haasan will take the oath of office and assume his duties in Parliament on July 25."

For the unversed, Kamal Haasan launched the MNM party in 2018 from Madurai. It was forced to show transparency, governance reforms, and regional cooperation. Interestingly, the Rs 1000 per month financial assistance for women implemented by the DMK government was originally one of the MNM's promises. In 2021, the MNM contested 202 seats across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
Kamal Haasan was last seen in Thug Life, directed by Mani Ratnam. Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is all set to be seen in Lokesh Kanagaraj's Coolie, which releases on August 14.
