Mahavatar Narsimha is a force to be reckoned with at the box office. Despite being an animated mythological film, the film has been unstoppable at the ticket windows due to positive word of mouth. Audience is flocking in large numbers to theatres to witness the magical saga. Amid this, an unfortunate incident occurred when a ceiling collapsed during film’s screening in Guwahati, leaving 3 injured, including children.

The incident occurred on Sunday night during the screening of the movie Mahavatar Narsimha at a PVR theatre in Guwahati While the audience were engrossed in the film, a portion of the false ceiling suddenly collapsed on them, leaving them aghast. The debris were screwed all over in midst of the screening. The incident left three individuals injured, including children. Visuals from inside the theatre have now gone viral on social media.

The screening of the film was immediately stopped, and those injured were given first-aid. The theatre staff helped the audience evacuate the theatre safely, and the venue has now been shut for inspection. However, an official statement is awaited from the authorities.
Mahavatar Narsimha box office
Mahavatar Narsimha, directed by Ashwin Kumar, is witnessing a historic run at the box office. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Mahavatar Narsimha earned Rs 13.4 crore from its morning and afternoon shows on Day 10. So far, the film has amassed Rs 81.25 crore at the domestic box office. With its impressive run, the film has remained strong despite new releases, Son Of Sardaar 2 and Dhadak 2.
The movie is produced by Shilpaa Dhawan, Kushal Desai, and Chaitanya Desai under the banner of Kleem Productions, presented by Hombale Films, known for their compelling content. It was released in 3D and in five Indian languages on 25th July 2025.
Hombale Films and Kleem Productions have also officially unveiled the lineup for this ambitious animated franchise, which will span over a decade and chronicle the ten divine avatars of Lord Vishnu: Mahavatar Narsimha (2025), Mahavatar Parshuram (2027), Mahavatar Raghunandan (2029), Mahavatar Dhawkadhesh (2031), Mahavatar Gokulananda (2033), Mahavatar Kalki Part 1 (2035), and Mahavatar Kalki Part 2 (2037).
