The buzz around Yash’s upcoming film Toxic: A Fairytale For Grown-ups has intensified now that the makers have confirmed a major reveal. The makers recently announced that the much-awaited Toxic teaser will be released on Yash's birthday, which falls on January 8, 2026. To announce the news, the makers dropped a striking new poster setting social media buzzing with anticipation.

Director Geetu Mohandas shared the poster revealing that a teaser of the film will be unveiled on January 8 at 10.10 AM. The poster shows a haunting visual of Yash walking through thick smoke and surrounded by burnt-down structures and dead bodies. It hints at a dark, violent and uncompromising tone, further implying at the gritty, adult-oriented nature of the film.

Mohandas shared the poster on X, and wrote, “Revealing the ONE they warned you about. 10:10 AM | 08-01-2026,” fuelling curiosity and excitement about Yash's character in the film.
Notably, the anticipation around the film has been growing stronger as the makers have been sharing a series of character reveal posters introducing the film’s lead female actors. So far, Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth's characters have been introduced.

Toxic: A Faiytale for Grown-ups is written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas, Helmed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups has been filmed simultaneously in Kannada and English. The dubbed versions of the film are planned in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and several other languages. It is produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations.
The film also includes a formidable technical team, including National Award winner Rajeev Ravi as cinematographer, Ravi Basrur handling the music, Ujwal Kulkarni doing the editing, and TP Abid as production designer. The film will feature high-octane action sequences choreographed by Hollywood action director JJ Perry (John Wick) alongside National Award-winning duo Anbariv and Kecha Khamphakdee.
Toxic is scheduled to release theatrically worldwide on March 19, 2026, marking the long festive weekend coinciding with Eid, Ugadi, and Gudi Padwa. Given its release date, the film is set to clash at the box office with Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2.
