Actress Shanaya Kapoor had started shooting for Mohanlal's pan-India film Vrushabha much before her debut project Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyan was released. While the actress was present for the film’s initial schedules, she went missing towards the later shoots, sparking speculation about her exit. It has now been confirmed that Shanaya is no longer a part of the film, with the makers announcing its release date. Dropping a new poster, they revealed that Vrusshabha will hit theatres on November 6.

Mohanlal, who plays a king in the film, took to social media on Thursday to share the poster along with the release date. He tagged the film’s primary team members — notably, Shanaya was missing from the list. Meanwhile, Shanaya has also deleted all photos from the film’s sets on her Instagram feed.

Last month, the makers of director Nanda Kishore’s bilingual epic released its teaser.

The teaser showcases Mohanlal as a king in the past and a father in the present. The film has generated significant buzz as it marks the first time Mohanlal will be seen portraying a royal character in a bilingual epic.

Crafted by writer-director Nanda Kishore and powered by stellar performances from Mohanlal, Ragini Dwivedi, and promising newcomer Samarjit Lankesh, every frame of Vrushabha is said to be rich in emotion and grandeur. Supporting this vision are the stunning visuals by cinematographer Antony Samson, crisp editing by KM Prakash, and soul-stirring music by Sam CS, with an immersive soundscape designed by Oscar-winner Resul Pookutty.

The film features dialogues by SRK, Janardhan Maharshi, and Karthik, with adrenaline-pumping action sequences choreographed by renowned stunt masters Peter Hein, Stunt Silva, and Nikhil.

Producer Ektaa R Kapoor said, “At Balaji, we’ve always believed in powerful storytelling, and Vrushabha excites us immensely. It’s not just a film, but an epic saga of relationships, revenge, and redemption. We are thrilled to collaborate with incredible talent to bring this cinematic experience to life.”

Director Nanda Kishore added, “Vrushabha is not just a film, it’s an emotion. Working with the legendary Mohanlal has been an absolute honour; his presence elevates every frame. The story is a powerful exploration of a father-son bond, and I can’t wait for audiences to experience it on the big screen.”
