One’s debut film can be an exhilarating as well as daunting experience. It’s only amplified for Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia as she shares screen space with Punjabi stars Babbu Maan and Guru Randhawa in Shaunki Sardar. Yet, the actor says that she is far from overshadowed. “These are legends I’ve grown up watching and admiring. From day one, they welcomed me with warmth and respect. Babbu sir brings depth and sincerity that pushes all of us to raise our game, while Guru is charismatic and collaborative. Between action and cut, I was absorbing so much that this movie felt like a masterclass,” says Ahluwalia, who was seen in Khatron Ke Khiladi 14.

What was her biggest takeaway after working with them? Their generosity, she says. “Skill can’t be taught; you either have it or don’t. But legends teach you how to not lose yourself as a person, and remain grounded. I will carry the work ethic, honesty, and warmth they taught me into my future work,” she says.
