After the success of the Dhurandhar franchise, R Madhavan is set to play the role of legendary inventor Gopalswamy Doraiswamy Naidu in the latter's biopic. Ever since the trailer of the film was dropped, fans were intrigued to see the actor in a different avatar.  However, on the day of its initially planned release, the makers have now postponed the film and announced a new release date.

R Madhavan's GDN postponed

Back in May 2026, the makers released a new poster offering a striking glimpse into the world of the film, starring R Madhavan. The poster saw the actor joining hands and greeting a huge crowd, while actors Sathyaraj and Dushara Vijayan stood by his side. The poster also carries the line, “Feared by the British Forgotten by his countrymen,” hinting at the emotional and historical side the narrative aims to explore.
