Tamil actor Ravi Mohan has filed a petition at the Madras High Court seeking Rs 9 crore in compensation from the production house, Bobby Touch Gold Universe Private Limited, for not utilising his call sheet. This comes after the actor was at the receiving end of a lawsuit filed by the production house, asking him to return the advance amount of Rs 6 crore that was allegedly paid to him.

Ravi Mohan lands in legal soup with production house

According to a report in The New Indian Express, Ravi approached the Madras High Court to sue the production house for wasting his time on two films. In court, Ravi claimed that he and the production house had agreed on a set of dates to shoot one of the two films they had signed. As per the agreement, Ravi had blocked his dates from January 1, 2025, to March 21, 2025—comprising 80 continuous call sheets.

He said that he lost valuable time due to delays in production and sought compensation for the same. Ravi also requested the court to “attach the property of the company” and “furnish a security deposit of Rs 9 crore” until the suit is resolved.

They claimed that an agreement had been signed with Ravi for one film, and the advance amount was paid in September 2024.
