Actor Ravi Mohan, a self-confessed Thalapathy Vijay fan, has extended his support to the actor-politician after his farewell film Jana Nayagan was postponed. Vijay’s swansong was all set to release in theatres on January 9; however, due to the film not receiving timely certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), the release has been delayed. The makers have assured that a new release date will be announced once the issue is resolved.

Ravi Mohan on Jana Nayagan controversy

On Thursday, Ravi Mohan took to his social media handle to voice his support for Vijay. Sharing the official announcement regarding Jana Nayagan’s postponement, Ravi said he was heartbroken.

“Anna… as a brother, I’m standing with you as one among the millions of brothers beside you. You don’t need a date… you are the opening. Whenever that date is… Pongal only starts then,” he wrote on X.

Ravi Mohan, who plays the antagonist in Sivakarthikeyan’s Parasakthi, which is set to hit theatres on January 10, had earlier penned a heartfelt note praising the trailer of Jana Nayagan, stating that Vijay had already won in every way for him.

Taking to his Instagram Stories, Ravi wrote, “Thalapathy vetri kondaan (The chief has taken victory). JanaNayagan actorvijay Anna, you have already won for me — in everything. The trailer is so realistically you, and I’m sure this movie will win many hearts, including mine. Your forever fan and brother. My best wishes to H Vinoth brother, @KvnProductions, @Jagadishbliss, and the entire team for the film’s success.”
