Sidhu Moose Wala is remembered as one of the most iconic and legendary singers and rappers that India has ever produced. However, on May 29, 2022, the well-known Punjabi singer was tragically murdered in Jawaharke village, Mansa district, Punjab. He was shot and killed by assailants while he was sitting in his car in his village. Even after his tragic assassination and death, Moose Wala's legacy continues to live on through the music he created, such as with his hit songs, including 295, Goat, and So High. 11th June marks his birth anniversary, and to mark the occasion, three of his unreleased tracks were released on YouTube.
Three new songs of Sidhu Moosewala released
As part of an extended play titled Moose Print, three new songs of the late singer, namely, '0008,' 'Neal,' and Take Notes,' were released on his official YouTube channel, marking his 32nd birth anniversary. Unsurprisingly, all three tracks crossed one million views just within an hour of release.

Notably, Sidhu's father, Balkaur Singh, had previously hinted at the release, promising fans that they would hear new music from the late singer on this momentous occasion. Fans globally remembered the singer and expressed their sentiments in the comment section of music videos on YouTube. Fans wrote things like, "Sidhu moose wala forever Happy birthday jatta," "Today is the day a legend was born", and "The LEGEND is Back.... The one and one only LEGEND SIDHUMOOSEWALA."

Similarly, BBC World Service also released a two-part documentary on Moosewala's birth anniversary. The documentary titled ‘The Killing Call’ was released on YouTube and revolves around the assassination of popular Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. Notably, the documentary was released despite legal opposition from the late singer's father. Balkaur Singh had reportedly filed a legal plea with a Mansa court seeking a stay on the documentary's screening.

According to his lawyer, Satinder Pal Singh, the petitioner claimed that the screening could impact the ongoing criminal trial into Moose Wala’s murder, and also violate the family's right to privacy.
The documentary spans two episodes, with the first part focusing on Sidhu Moosewala’s early life, rise to fame, and the controversies surrounding him. Similarly, the second part talks about the circumstances surrounding his assassination on May 29, 2022.
