Sreeleela is reportedly charging Rs 4 crore for her role in Junior, wherein she stars opposite debutant Kireeti in the lead role. The actress also revealed what made her take up the role, which is nothing more than a love interest in the film
Sreeleela
Sreeleela has, over the years, gradually made her name in the entertainment industry. After her dance number Kissik in Pushpa 2, she became a face that is known and remembered by all. And she seems to be in no mood to slow down. By bagging her Bollywood debut opposite Kartik Aaryan in Anurag Basu's untitled film, she further cemented her place as pan-India star. Now with the upcoming film Junior in her kitty, she is all set to grab even more headlines.
Did Sreeleela charge Rs 4 crore?
According to a leading celebrity manager, actress Sreeleela has reportedly pocketed a whopping 4 crore for her role in the upcoming film Junior, wherein she will be seen romancing debutant actor Kireeti Reddy. The manager notes, "Why else would she agree to do a film with a newcomer if not for the fancy pay cheque?" the celebrity manager quipped, while dismissing social media rumours that she settled for just 2.5 crore. "These are baseless rumours. Top heroines know their market value and never compromise on what they rightly deserve."

Given that Sreeleela is now expanding her horizons to Bollywood and Kollywood and starring opposite notable stars, her demand is naturally on the rise. The manager highlights, "She's undoubtedly one of the most happening actresses today, and her social media following is proof of her popularity. Her song Viral Vyayari alone crossed 12 million views thanks largely to her presence and energetic dance moves, which added immense value."
The manager further shared that top heroines often have their own yardsticks when it comes to remuneration. They shared, "If they're working with established superstars like Prabhas, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, or NTR, they usually quote 1 crore less, acknowledging that the hero himself brings massive mileage and crowd-pulling power. But when paired with relatively new or younger heroes, they smartly increase their fee by 1-1.5 crore since they shoulder more responsibility to draw audiences."
Sreeleela reveals why she is doing the film
Junior is heavily being advertised as Kireeti's film since it is centred on his character and tailored to allow him to show off all his skill sets. Sreeleela shared what made her take up the role of Spoorthi, who is just the mandatory love interest. Talking to TV9, Sreeleela said, “There is an emotional father-daughter arc. I connected with the story, more than the role. It’s a very beautiful story,” she said, adding that the fact that it is a Kannada-Telugu bilingual also appealed to her.
The actress also shared that playing Spoorthi wasn't challenging at all, since she is a college girl. Notably, the film was launched in 2022 and took 3 years in the making. Unfortunately, Kireeti was forced out of action for about a year and a half after sustaining an injury during a stunt sequence. During the trailer launch, Sreeleela joked that if she signed up for the film when she was in her first year of MBBS, by the time it hits the theatres, she would have completed the course.
