Actor Vijay Deverakonda has reportedly met with a road accident on NH-44 (Hyderabad-Bengaluru Highway) in Jogulamba Gadwal district in Telangana. Fortunately, the actor managed to narrowly escape unharmed after his car collided with another vehicle earlier today.

According to reports, Vijay Deverakonda was travelling from Puttaparthi in Andhra Pradesh to Hyderabad in Telangana. Reports claim that Vijay and his family were on their way back to Hyderabad after visiting the Sri Sathya Sai Baba's Prasanthi Nilayam Ashram in Puttaparthi, when their car was hit by another vehicle. While they were travelling on NH44, another car hit their vehicle from behind. Vijay's car, a Lexus LM350h, was severely damaged in the accident. However, fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.

A video of his damaged car has been going viral on he internet with shows the left side portion in the front of the car severely shattered.
The other car involved in the accident reportedly continued towards Hyderabad without stopping. Vijay's driver has lodged a complaint with the local police, who have registered a case and launched an investigation in the accident. Additionally, Vijay Deverakonda also safely reached Hyderabad after the fatal and unfortunate mishap in a differnt vehicle.

On October 3, reports claimed that Vijay Deverakonda and actor Rashmika Mandanna had gotten engaged, with the couple's family members and close friends in attendance. As rumours about the engagement started doing the rounds on social media on Friday, Vijay's team allegedly confirmed the news of his engagement to Hindustan Times on Saturday morning.
Although the details about Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika's engagement are yet to be revealed, his team has reportedly confirmed that the couple is all set to tie the knot next year in February 2026. It must be noted that neither Rashmika nor Vijay has shared any posts or made any official announcement about their engagement.
Days after the reported engagement, Deverakonda recently visited Sri Sathya Sai Baba's Prasanthi Nilayam Ashram in Puttaparthi with his family on Monday. Eagle-eyed fans quickly noticed an engagement ring on Vijay's wedding finger in photos from his visit to Puttaparthi, which went viral.

Soon after the news spread, Vijay took to social media to share a health update, assuring fans that he is alright. Vijay wrote, "All is well. Car took a hit, but we are all fine. Went and did a strength workout as well and just got back home. My head hurts, but nothing a biryani and sleep will not fix. So biggest hugs and my love to all of you. Don't let the news stress you."
