Season nine of Kaun Banega Crorepati wrapped up on Sunday. Host Amitabh Bachchan wrote on his blog that the quiz show will be back "after a break of some months." The constant talking on KBC has left Big B with infected vocal chords, throat pain and swallowing problems.

He added, "I am on antibiotics and painkillers." In another post, the veteran actor thanked everyone who made KBC a success. "This most complicated game show would never be the same if it were not for the dedicated and most constructive team of almost 450 personnel, working round-the-clock in the various departments of the show (sic)." Bachchan holds KBC close to his heart.
