Amid a surge in COVID-19 cases, every one of us is preparing to celebrate the upcoming festivals virtually. Ahead of Gudi Padwa, Television actors talk about the festival and wish fans on the occasion

Biggboss 14 Arshi Khan enjoys getting ready as Maharashtrian women for the festival. She tells, "People don their traditional attires as women drape the Navari saree. I enjoy getting ready as a Maharashtrian woman. Prayers and flowers are offered to the Gudi after placing it on the window or door. Following this, people perform the aarti and put Akshat on the Gudi. This is the most beautiful way to ring in the new year. Let the Gudi Padwa spread the message of peace and happiness."


Shubhangi Atre, seen as Angoori in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, was introduced to the festival after she shifted to Mumbai. She says, "Gudi Padwa brings in good fortune and abounding happiness for all of us. After coming to Mumbai, I started celebrating the festival ringing in the New Year. I'm as of now battling from Covid-19 so this year it will be only greeting celebration. I will greet all my fans, family and friends over social media platforms."


Simba Nagpal, who features in Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, urges to make a resolution to spread humanity. He says, "Let's come together to have the resolution to spread love and peace in lives on this auspicious day of Gudi Padwa. I enjoyed the festivities here in Mumbai, with friends. Families begin their New Year with a special preparation made of neem leaves, jaggery to symbolise the diverse aspects of life. Shrikhand and Puran Poli are also prepared on this day."


Hamariwali Good News actor Raghav Tiwari feels thankful to be an admirer. He says, "On this day, Lord Ram returned to Ayodhya along with his consort Sita and brother Lakshmana after defeating demon King Ravana in Lanka. I feel fortunate is the one who has learned to admire, but not to envy. My good wishes to all for a joyous Gudi Padwa and a happy new year with plenty of peace and prosperity."

Kunal Jaisingh, who is currently seen as Veer in the period love story Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Aaye, feels we must enjoy the festivities being responsible. He adds, "The auspicious festival of Gudi Padwa this year should be celebrated with a lot of concern looking at the situation here in Mumbai. But the joy and vibes inside us are high as every year. May this Ugadi bring us new spirit new beginning and new prosperity."

Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein, actress Mitaali Nag is waiting for the festival track in her show. "I'm excited to celebrate the festival on set as we represent the Maharashtrian family. So I'm excited to know the track around. On this auspicious occasions of Gudi Padwa may we all be endowed with happiness, health and wealth. Let's pray for peace and harmony for our country in the coming year on this day."
