Bigg Boss 19 thrives on high drama, but contestant Gaurav Khanna has stayed remarkably composed. While many housemates rely on heated confrontations to grab attention, Gaurav has chosen a more measured path—something that has drawn questions about his gameplay.
Even host Salman Khan recently challenged him on whether his low-key style fits the show’s charged atmosphere.

Gaurav's sister comes out in support

This week, Gaurav’s sister Priya Mehrotra publicly defended his approach with a heartfelt social-media note that underlined the value of calmness and dignity.

In her post, Priya wrote, “The criticism Gaurav has faced about his character and play style is unfair and unpleasant. Just because he chooses not to shout, argue or be aggressive doesn’t mean he lacks strength. Real strength lies in calmness. Sending you full support, brother! Remember, insecure people always try to pull down those who shine brighter. Gaurav Khanna BB19”

Her message captures a different perspective on the game—one that views composure as a form of power rather than weakness.
By highlighting patience and balance, Priya reframed the conversation around what strength can look like in a competitive, high-pressure setting.

Whether Gaurav adjusts his strategy or continues with quiet confidence, his sister’s words have firmly positioned calmness as a deliberate and powerful choice.

What happened on Weekend Ka Vaar?

In the recent Weekend Ka Vaar, Salman Khan put Gaurav in the spotlight once again, questioning his lack of participation and visible presence in the house. Citing the recent pirate task, Salman asked Gaurav to explain his contribution, pointing out how his absence from action is raising questions about his strategy and intent in the competition.

When asked about his role in the pirate task, Gaurav said, “It was our strategy to study other teams’ players and send people accordingly. We sent the girls first, then later played accordingly. I wanted to play, but…” Salman interrupted to probe deeper, asking, “Aapka ghar mein jo dikh raha hai, ye aapka asal kirdaar hai? Are you getting intimidated by other contestants’ talents? You need to speak up on muddas. How are you getting performance pressure on that? This is a competition of the mind to tackle issues rightly. You’re an intelligent man why are you not using it?”

Defending his stance, Gaurav clarified, “I like to stay aloof from all the abuses and aggression that happens during tasks.” However, Salman delivered a sharp reality check, saying, “Your role in the house is like a star cameo, jo poster mein nazar aata hai, but picture mein nahi dikhte.”
