Divyanka Tripathi may not have won the Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 trophy, but she has been gathering a lot of praise for her performance. The actress tells mid-day.com that while she has the sweet, simple bahu image onscreen, she’s always been tough as nails in real life

The audiences got to see a completely different side of Divyanka in 'Khatron Ke Khiladi 11'. Speaking about the same, Divyanka says, "I have always been gutsy and a go-getter, but people haven’t seen that side of me and I’m glad they are now. I remember as an NCC cadet once, I had a bad injury on my foot. But I still wanted to perform in the parade, so I didn’t tell anyone about the injury and would march long hours in those hard, leather shoes. Another time during the shoot of my debut Banoo Main Teri Dulhan, I was on a call with my mother and ended up injuring myself with a glass that gave me a nasty cut. I didn’t want the shoot to get affected, so I continued. I know people see me as my onscreen image but I wanted them to see the real me. Towards the finale we had a stunt where I had to use my arm strength and that is something Viv (husband Vivek Dahiya) had always told me to work on. I didn’t want to disappoint him and went on like a mad woman, though my body was at breaking point. I've realised that the biggest fear we have is getting injured, once you overcome that, you have won!"

After the season finale of 'Khatron Ke Khiladi 11', 'Bigg Boss 15' is the latest buzz word on TV. Ask her if she will be seen on Bigg Boss next, she quips, "Honestly no, I’m not as confident about my speaking skills yet as I am about my physical ability to pull off stunts. So I don’t see myself on a show like Bigg Boss as yet. I did Nach Baliye 9 because I wanted to learn something new, so that’s how I take on reality shows."
