Zee TV is gearing up to launch a socially driven drama, Nari Shakti, and we have exclusively learned that actor Amit Dolawat has been finalised as the male lead. Produced by Dilep Sonkar under Kamlashree Films, the upcoming show aims to blend emotion with empowerment while tackling deep-rooted societal norms.
The production house is known for backing projects like Parashuram, currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video, and Gupta Brothers on Star Bharat. With Nari Shakti, the makers appear set to deliver a story that champions individuality, courage, and self-acceptance.
Priya Rajput and Amit Dolawat to play the lead
The narrative follows the journey of a soldier whose life intersects with that of Priya Rajput, a fearless woman who runs an NGO supporting women and fighting for social justice. As their worlds collide, the story explores transformation, emotional healing, and the strength it takes to defy expectations. Dolawat’s character undergoes a powerful arc of self-discovery, ultimately learning to embrace himself beyond societal judgment.
Priya’s role is expected to stand out for breaking conventional television stereotypes, presenting a confident and rooted woman driven by purpose rather than perception. Together, the lead characters promise to anchor a story that is both inspiring and relatable.
The show will be directed by Yogesh Ojha, who has helmed several television shows and web series. Scheduled to be shot in Banaras, the setting is likely to add cultural texture and visual depth to the narrative. Creative producer Mahesh Poojary, known for projects such as Aisi Deewangi Dekhi Nahi Kahi and more.
Abhishek Saklani roped in for a key role
Amit Dolawat, a familiar face on Indian television, has featured in shows like Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Tenali Rama, Khichdi Season 3, Divya Drishti, Diya Aur Baati Hum, and Bhakharwadi. On the film front, he has appeared in Maheruh, Maharashtra Shaheer, and Horn OK Please.
Actor Abhishek Saklani has also joined the project in a key role. He is known for playing a parallel lead in Raisinghani vs Raisinghani on SonyLIV and a negative lead in Nath on Dangal. With a strong cast and a message-driven storyline, Nari Shakti is shaping up to be one of Zee TV’s notable upcoming offerings.
