In an exclusive chat with mid-day, Kunickaa Sadanand's son Ayaan Lall got candid about his stay in the Bigg Boss 19 house during the family week. He shared his experience of being a part of the show

Kunikaa Sadanand’s son, Ayaan Lall, recently entered the Bigg Boss 19 house during family week, and the young actor is still processing the overwhelming emotions and surprises that greeted him there. In an exclusive conversation, he recalled every detail—from tearful reunions to unexpected fights—calling the experience one he will “never forget.”
Ayaan described the very first seconds after entering the house, “I think the first moment when I entered, I looked at Tanya and she instantly started crying. So I was like, you know, Tanya, don't worry, everyone's parents will come. Don't stress.”
But nothing prepared him for seeing his mother after weeks of separation, “Then I saw mom. The moment I saw her, it was just like, my God, I mean, I just wanted to touch her. So I went close to her. I hugged her and the moment she could feel my presence, she started crying. She didn't even have to look at me. She could feel my presence.”
He added that the emotional connection had been instant, “I opened the door. I think from the side of her eyes, she saw me and started crying and I hugged her and it was the most amazing moment ever.”
Ayaan then revealed another heart-touching interaction inside the house, “I hugged my mother and before that, my mom said, go meet everyone. So I went and met everyone. I went and told everyone what I wanted to say. So I looked at Farhana and I said, thank you for taking care of my mom.”
He emphasised how meaningful this was to him, “That moment was very special for me. That really, really left an impact on my heart. She made her feel like a mother for 5–10 minutes again, you know, in the house.”
Later, he understood why Farrhana ran to him emotionally, “She told me, ‘Because I couldn't believe that somebody who I thought would come and say things to me… I thought would come and tell me, what kind of a person are you?… has actually come and told me good things.’ So when that happens, you instantly want to go and meet the person.”
Feeling like part of the house and witnessing real fights
Ayaan shared how the contestants immediately involved him in their world, “There were 2–3 fights in front of me, which was interesting to see, because I felt like they started to feel like I was a part of the house instantly. They felt like, you know, I was one of them only.”
He recalled Amal discussing house issues with him openly, “So Amal bhai… I was like, why is she doing this? And then Amal bhai is telling me… it was interesting to see that they were discussing their everyday life with me.”
This made him realise the reality behind the show, “That's when I realised that this show is a show for us, but it is very real for them. Nobody's faking it. It's genuinely the things they say to each other that affect them and hurt them. Like a family, they all come together… At the end of the day, we are going to make it done.”
Ayaan also spoke about an unexpected angle, “I noticed Gurmeet sir also had a thought. So the moment she said, ‘I'll talk to my wife once,’ he was like, What is happening? Because even through the show, we never thought of that angle… even as an audience member.”
According to him, the connection was based on values, “She related to Ashnoor's values and how she is as a person and how she's so respectful to everyone. And I think that’s why she's like, ‘If you want a bahu, you’ll get one.’”
His unseen compliment to Tanya
Ayaan also clarified that he did compliment Tanya warmly, even if the episode didn’t highlight it, “Tanya was very eagerly waiting for your compliment… I did. They did not. I did. They did not put it in the cut.” He insisted he praised her a lot, “I told her a lot of good things about her… You're a star now. So don't care about what people think anymore.”
One gesture from Tanya touched him deeply, “My mother took me to the changing room of the Bigg Boss house… and that’s when I said, that gesture—a very rich person in the heart will be able to do that. It's not easy… giving somebody else your stuff, your clothes that have come from your house.”
A once-in-a-lifetime family moment
For Ayaan, the emotional high point was capturing three generations together, “Imagine three generations of us—the girls, me and mom—and the difference between the youngest generation and her is close to 46, 47 years. For us, it was like a family moment forever. I’m going to frame that picture… because I don’t think a lot of people in their lifetime will ever get to see something like that in their own family. It’s a moment for a lifetime. I’ll never forget it.”
