Actor Karanvir Sharma, who recently won hearts with his brilliant performance as Param Munjal, the antagonist in Season 2 of The Trial: Pyaar Kaanoon Dhokha, shared his heartfelt reflections on Diwali, which for him is beyond the sparkle of lights and the sweetness of mithai. “Diwali isn’t just about celebration,” he says. “It’s about colour, Rangoli, and starting the new year with intention. It’s about shining your light into the world with positivity.”
Despite a packed schedule, Karanvir celebrates mindfully. “I avoid bursting crackers. I light the shagun ki fuljari, light diyas, and worship Goddess Lakshmi. It’s grounding and deeply traditional.” Whether on a film set or shooting for television, he finds joy in the festive spirit, as in television, Diwali often begins early, with Diwali sequences woven into the storyline. “The production team understands the need to step out, meet friends, play Teen Patti, and laugh a little—that’s what makes it truly festive.”

His perfect Diwali is modest yet beautiful, with rooms that smell well, mirchi lights, colorful attire, and sweets enjoyed with a small group of friends. “I prefer keeping it low-key, celebrating with those I’m most comfortable with,” he adds. Karanvir also urges fans to extend kindness, especially to animals and those less fortunate. “Don’t burst crackers near street dogs. If they seek shelter, give it to them. It’s Diwali for them too.” To carry the spirit of Diwali year-round, he created Good Vibes Only, a Twitter group where fans and family share daily positive messages. “Start your day with a good vibe—it resonates beautifully.” As he fondly recalls childhood Diwalis filled with Popat bombs and colony mischief, Karanvir Sharma shares a wish that’s both timeless and tender: “May this Diwali bring you health, wealth, happiness—and light that lasts for years to come.” With compassion, wisdom, and a touch of nostalgia, he reminds us that the true essence of Diwali lies in mindful celebration and meaningful connection.

The actor exclusively shared with mid-day on his plans to return to TV. Karanvir has been exploring OTT and Films for a while, however the actor is much missed on TV screens for his out and out romantic roles. He said, 'I am open to all mediums, and when it comes to TV, maybe something good as Beyhadh would be on cards.'
