Kept on the backburner for a while, Karan Johar's talk show, 'Koffee With Karan', will be back for the fifth season where Bollywood stars will be grilled over piping hot cuppas. The filmmaker will shoot for the show's first teaser on August 28.

Although currently busy with the post production of his Diwali release, 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil', besides judging dance reality show, 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa', KJo will take time off for the promo shoot.
Earlier this year, in March, KJo had tweeted that the new season of the show will definitely roll out in 2016. He had also mentioned that Shah Rukh Khan will be his first guest.

Known to extract the most outrageous and candid confessions from celebs, KJo's show has attracted eyeballs and created controversy as well. The highlight of last season was first-time guest Salman Khan's "confession" that he is a "virgin".

Says a channel source, "The teaser video will be a few seconds long. It will be the first of many that the channel has planned in the run-up to the unveiling of the new season later this year."
Adds the source, "The promo will have Karan being interrogated by custom officers at the airport over what's hidden in his bag."
Koffee With Karan's first season began in 2004 and the fourth season ended in April 2014. Friendly with most Bollywood stars, Karan gets them to spill secrets about their personal life. At the end of every episode, there is also a gift hamper with fancy goodies to be won by the one who gets the most candid in a "rapid fire" round.
Despite repeated attempts, Karan remained unavailable for comment. Here's hoping that the new season will bring together much talked-about couples, Alia Bhatt-Sidharth Malhotra, and Anushka Sharma-Virat Kohli.
