In may this year, Upen Patel had announced on Twitter that his 18-month relationship with Bigg Boss co-contestant Karishma Tanna was over.
Barely three months ago, the duo was had an ugly spat outside an Andheri mutiplex after they ran into each other at a film screening. As onlookers gathered, Upen walked off in a huff and Karishma was left sobbing.
However, now we hear the former flames have rekindled their romance and are giving love another chance. Says a source, "There was a lot of talk that the public fight outside the multiplex was a publicity stunt, but they have reconnected and want to let bygones be bygones. Karishma has told her pals about planning a year-end getaway with Upen, and start anew."
Love blossomed when the two were locked up in the Bigg Boss 8 house in 2014. They then took part in couple dance reality show Nach Baliye. On one of the episodes, Upen proposed to Karishma.
Upen chose not to respond to text messages. When we called Karishma, the voice on the other end identified herself as Payal, her manager. Asked about the holiday, she said, "Karishma was planning a holiday, but has now cancelled her plans. It was not with Upen."
The source, however, maintains, "When Karishma started talking to Upen once again, she excitedly broke the news to close friends from the television world. She even informed them about plans to visit London where Upen's family is based."
Last weekend, Karishma was eliminated from the ongoing season of dance reality show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
