Close on the heels of Republic Day, singer Palak Muchhal revealed on the set of The Voice India Kids Season 2 that the patriotic song, Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon, is close to her heart. "When I was six, my mother would read out stories from the newspaper about the Kargil War and how it claimed the lives of hundreds of Indian jawans. She raised funds for the families of the army officers. That's when I, too, decided to help them. I would sing Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon at shops and request the owners to contribute something for the families of the war victims. I managed to raise Rs 25,000 for the martyred jawans' families," she says.
