She sent a heartfelt homage to the actor, who died from cardiac arrest on October 25. Ratna also described her interaction with his wife, Madhu, at his funeral, including a devastating statement she made to her.

Ratna described how Satish's friends and relatives gathered during his funeral, noting that his 'mobile face was utterly still' and that she is unsure if he appeared peaceful. When everyone turned to Ratna, Madhu, his 45-year-old wife, expressed her surprise. The actor said in his obituary, "Is this really happening? She asked, her eyes wide and her hands stiff. As he was carried away, we gathered around her, trying to make sense of what had happened."
Ratna claimed that Satish 'wanted to live for her to see her through her tough times' and sang brilliantly for her. She wondered who would 'sing to her and with her' just now.
The actor added that Madhu joined them to celebrate Satish, writing, "Madhu was able to join in — she sang softly and tentatively at first, as if surprised that the man associated with these songs wasn’t present. But then she just gave in to the warmth of the loved ones who came together to celebrate his life, while marking his passage to another stage. Her voice rose and she seemed to be singing to her Satish."
Earlier, Ratna even shared the last chat she had with Satish Shah, hours before his demise. She mentioned, "At first, it felt like someone was pulling a fast one in terrible taste. As it sank in, it became even more unbelievable. Satish gone! A man determined to live life more fully, laugh at it and take every blow on the chin and come out smiling, gone!"
About Satish Shah's demise
Satish Shah, 74, died on October 25 in Mumbai. While previous reports said that his death was caused by kidney failure, his co-star Rajesh Kumar explained that it was actually cardiac arrest. Satish apparently fainted at home at lunch before being transported to the hospital, where attempts to revive him failed.
