Actor Rohit Chandel, known for his work in television shows including Pandya Store and Sairaab, has been granted bail by a Mumbai Sessions Court in a POCSO case involving allegations made by a 16-year-old girl. As reported by India Today, the court, while allowing the actor to be released on bail, observed that the alleged offence was of a serious nature and rejected his request for provisional cash bail.

Special Judge Shashikala S Nagur granted Chandel bail on Thursday after his lawyer, advocate Saveen Bedi Sachar, submitted that the investigation had been completed and the chargesheet had already been filed. The detailed order from the court is yet to be made available.
