Satyajeet Dubey, who's in the news currently for his upcoming film Prassthanam, has been roped in for a sci-fi time travel show titled Maharaj Ki Jai Ho backed by Star TV. Like Prisoners of War, a remake of Homeland, Dubey's show, too, will combine science fiction with mythology with a storyline that has a comic bent. The show is said to tap into India's rich culture and heritage and will trace time travel going so far back as to the Mahabharata.
Satyajeet Dubey says, "I am over the moon about this show because a show like this can be a game-changer for content. A character is a real person from today's time but the story has a futuristic, mystical quality. Real people have reference points, this in fantasy which hard to crack and thus requires devotion, commitment and learning. It is a fantastic script, one that will make people sit up and notice the sheer power of good content."
