Shefali Jariwala death: From security guards statement to forensic examination, here are the key developments in the case

The Mumbai Police have since launched a probe into her death, as they confirmed that her body has been sent for post-mortem examination at Cooper Hospital in Mumbai. On the other hand, a forensics team, along with police officers, also visited her apartment on Saturday morning to collect samples and inspect the scene. The authorities have confirmed that they received information about her death in the early hours on Saturday. Meanwhile, the final post-mortem report is awaited before any conclusions can be drawn.

A police official confirmed, “Shefali Jariwala was found at her residence in Andheri’s Golden Rays-Y building. She was rushed to Bellevue Multispecialty Hospital by her husband Parag Tyagi and three others.”

Security guard and friends share details  

Meanwhile, a security guard named Shatrughan, from the residential society, shared what happened with NDTV. He said that Parag Tyagi arrived home around 10:30 pm on a motorbike on Friday night. A little later, Shefali was hurriedly taken to the hospital. The guard also recalls watching the couple walking their dog together on Thursday evening, a routine they often followed.

Tributes pour in

Actress Antara Biswas, known professionally as Monalisa, took to the Stories section of her Instagram and shared a throwback picture with Shefali from the Ganeshotsav celebrations.

She wrote, “Will Miss You Shefali. Still Not Being able to Believe This Life is Sach mein Unpredictable. I Always Adored Your Happy Positive Nature And your Aura Always Created Magic #restinpeace Friend”. Actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee also shared a throwback picture of herself with the actress, and wrote, “Oh God Shefali. Still cant process it. Om Shanti”.

Actor Rithvik Dhanjani wrote, “Om Shanti. Hoping the family finds the strength through these times”. Actress Madhurima Tuli wrote, “Still coming to terms with this shocking news. May her soul rest in peace”. Actress Karishma Tanna also took to the Stories section of her Instagram to express grief over Shefali Jariwala’s tragic death. “Heavy heart. This is unbelievable!! Gone too soon”.

Popular television actress Dipshikkha Nagppal, who worked with Shefali in the dance reality show " Nach Baliye" recalled some fond memories with the late actress.

She shared, "Yes, Shefali... I knew her. I can't say we were the best of friends, but we were together on Nach Baliye. After that, every Ganpati celebration, she would invite us — it was always so thoughtful of her. We also have a lot of common friends. I recently met her at several parties, and she was truly one of the most beautiful souls — warm, kind, and full of life."

Expressing her grief, she said, "It's extremely shocking. I got the news this morning and I was just like... what? A heart attack? Why? What was troubling her? What happened? I have so many questions myself. I knew Parag and Shefali as a couple who always walked together in life. I know them both very well. They were an amazing couple — two beautiful human beings. Honestly, I don’t know what’s happening in the world… why we keep losing such pure souls. It’s deeply, deeply sad. All I can say is — may God bless her family, especially Parag. They were so madly in love. People always looked up to them as that ideal couple. I don’t know how he’s going to cope with this. May God give him all the strength he needs. And may Shefali’s soul rest in peace."
