Shilpa Shinde had previously made significant claims against the makers of Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, therefore, her return to the show in Season 2 astonished many. Fans are curious to learn what prompted her return to the iconic sitcom.
Shilpa said that she never anticipated returning to the show. Referring to the producers as her "family," she said that there had been problems in the past, but that their relationship had progressively mended and changed over time.

"Honestly, I never thought I would come back. After my exit, there was a lot of miscommunication. Over time, the relationship evolved, and I believe it was destiny. Jhagde toh families mein hi hote hain (sic)," said Shilpa to Bombay Times. Shilpa claimed that she always followed her emotions and did not give much thought to her actions or replies.
Shilpa claimed she was expecting some "bitterness" on set when she returned. She stated, "There were numerous misunderstandings following my departure, and I thought some anger would persist. That was the mood I planned for." The actress went on: "Instead, everyone came to meet me in my room and welcomed me warmly (sic)."

Shilpa left her role as Angoori Bhabhi in March 2016. While leaving the program, the actress accused the creators of 'mental torment'. Back in 2016, she told PTI, "You cannot make anyone sign an exclusivity contract like that. Why are you trying to spoil our career? I am giving you my 25 days or so, what is the problem if I do other shows in between (sic)."
After Shilpa left the show, reports circulated that she had thrown tantrums on set. At the same time, the producers claimed that the actress had broken her contract by joining another show.
While bidding adieu to the show, Shubhangi Atre, who played Angoori for around a decade, expressed gratitude to the show. She also extended best wishes to Shilpa Shinde to return to the character that she originally played on the show.
Shilpa Shinde has not appeared on many shows since leaving Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai. She only featured in Bigg Boss 11 (which she won) and Khatron Ke Khiladi 14. Shilpa Shinde had a brief appearance in Maddam Sir in 2023.
