Taarak Mehta... makers react on the ban demanded by Sikh group

One of the longest-running television show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ recently got tangled in a controversy. In a recent episode, the characters of the show were dressed in religious attires, wherein Goli was dressed as Ganesh ji, and the character Roshan Singh Sodhi Singh was dressed as a 'Nihang Sikh' or a Nihang warrior, whereas Taarak and Anjali were dressed as Lord Ram and Sita. The show, which is renowned for promoting communal harmony, had to face the wrath of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC)community, for making Sodhi Singh dress as Guru Gobind Singh ji. The Sikh community asked the makers to put a ban on the show.
