Seva vs donation
In the recent Baisakhi special episode of ‘Wheel of Fortune India’, when a contestant said she would donate her winnings, host and actor Akshay Kumar immediately corrected her. He said, “I am not one to correct you, but I believe the word donation is dirty. God has given you this opportunity to serve. We do not have the status to give anything to anyone, if we get something then we give it forward.” The term, he added, is “seva aka service”.

Chaitanya Devadhe Mauli
‘Indian Idol’ has introduced its wild card entrants. Among them is Chaitanya Devadhe Mauli — a finalist from the reality show’s 15th season. On his return, the young singer says, “Honestly, it feels like I’m coming back home. The fear I once had before stepping on stage is completely gone now. Today, I feel more fearless and have evolved into a versatile singer who enjoys exploring every genre.”
