The reality show The 50 finally drew its curtains on Sunday, March 22, crowning Shiv Thakare as its winner, marking yet another win in his career. Notably, he has also won Bigg Boss Marathi 2. From the 50 contestants who participated in the show, the competition was narrowed down to five finalists, namely, Faisal Shaikh aka Mr Faisu, Rajat Dalal, Krishna Shroff, Kaka, and Shiv Thakare.

Finally, the show was down to the top two, Shiv Thakare and Faisal Shaikh. Shiv was announced as the winner, beating Faisal. After the win, he turned emotional, saying that all he wished for was to rush home to his mother. He also revealed how she had been praying for his win, and that he was looking forward to personally handing over the trophy to her.

Through a series of challenges, the contestants built the prize pot of Rs 40,44,000. Interestingly, the Rs 50 lakh prize money for the Grand Finale was not awarded to the winner but to one of the fans, Sitaram, who had participated in the winning contestant throughout the show. Shiv Thakare made the announcement and handed over the Rs 50 lakh cheque to Sitaram, thanking him for all his support.

Shiv also dedicated his trophy to Prince Narula, who had sacrificed his semi-final ticket for him, believing younger contestants deserved the spotlight. Earlier, in the semi-final task of The 50, contestants were given a clue, following which they had to climb to the top of the bags, select a numbered flag, and hit it. Prince had completed the task the fastest and secured the ticket.

However, Prince decided to give his ticket to Shiv, saying he had already won several reality shows and now he wanted younger contestants to shine

The show started with 50 contestants entering the house on February 1. The field eventually narrowed down to a top 12 that included Prince Narula, Faisal Shaikh, Rajat Dalal, Shiv Thakare, Vikrant Singh Rajpoot, Ridhi Dogra, Manisha Rani, Urvashi Dholakia, Ravinder Singh, Krishna Shroff, Archana Gautam and Nehal Chudasama.
