Playing the goody-two-shoes doesn’t excite most actors, who believe grey shades help them explore the many layers of a character. However, Anita Hassanandani begs to differ. After playing a string of vamps and morally ambiguous characters, the actor is embracing a refreshing change in her next outing. In Tumm Se Tumm Tak, she plays Rajnandini, ex-wife Sharad Kelkar’s character, and more importantly, a character who is positive. She tells mid-day why the role spoke to her, why her chemistry with Kelkar felt effortless, and the advice she would give her younger self.
